Buzzingtales was
swept off its feet by UAE’s number one wedding event, BRIDE Dubai. The BRIDE show
Dubai took place from the 25th- 28th March 2015 at the Dubai International
Exhibition Centre. Due to popular demand the esteemed Young Designers Award
Initiative was re-launching.
Brides- to-be in the UAE were given a chance to plan
their big day with ease at BRIDE Dubai, with all the finest bridal necessities
available under one roof. There is a lot to consider when picking the perfect
wedding location. Depending on personal preference, weddings can take place
outdoors, in ballrooms, by the beach, or even in the desert.BRIDE Dubai showcased
some of the very best five star hotels in the UAE, such as: Anantara Hotels,
Resorts & Spa Abu Dhabi ,Conrad Dubai, Crowne Plaza Deira, Desert Palm A
Per Aquum Retreat and Jumeirah Creekside Hotel. Al Rais Tours and Holidays, one
of the largest independent travel agencies in the UAE, are the sponsors for the
Explore and Experience Feature, one of the thrilling main highlights at BRIDE
Dubai.
A conspicuous
event on yearly calendars for upcoming designers from prestigious fashion
colleges in and around the Middle East, the initiative provides an exclusive
platform for aspiring young talent to make their break into the world of fashion.
The show came to a glamorous conclusion on 29th March, with the
announcement of the Young Designers Award 2015 winner. Fatema Merchant who studies at Capital
Training Institute was chosen from the ten finalists by the esteemed judging
panel including, Exhibition Director Daphne Cota, Founder of the Female Network
Shereen Mitwali and fashion guru Rosemin Manji. The newly introduced People’s
Choice Award also crowned Fatema as the winner.
All in all, a hugely successful event for 2015 with
brides to be and their families entertained across four spectacular days by
exclusive fashion shows, hair and beauty demonstrations, celebrity makeup
artists, enlightening Q & A sessions and expert talks from the who’s who in
the wedding and lifestyle industry.
Opening the fashion shows on day one was Zari O
Breesam, followed by Dressalicious, Nayala Couture, exquisite jewelry by Amwaj,
Zarena Haute Couture and closing the show, stunning abayas by Tahani. The
Bridal and Beauty Theatre saw engaging make-up sessions by Dolce & Gabbana,
tips on honeymoon destinations by Explore and Experience sponsor Al Rais Tours
and Holidays and further makeup tutorials by Gulnaz.
Day two commenced with Amina Aljassim opening the
fashion shows, followed by Zayoon Trading, stunning wedding dresses by SKS
Fashion Design, Point Glamour Fashion and closing the show was Passarel. Sarah
Feyling of Couture Events presented ‘Brides in the UAE’ in the Bridal and
Beauty Theatre and Neetu Ramchandani of Mywishlist.ae delivered an inspiring
talk on gifting trends for 2015.
An exciting day three saw Hania open the show with a
beautiful range of abayas, followed by Sponsa. Amwaj took to the catwalk once
again, thereafter guests saw Maqbool Ziauddin and closing was Hayla
Couture. Friday’s Bridal and Beauty
Theatre saw renowned celebrity makeup artist Daniel Bauer showcase a stunning
makeover demonstration as well as the fascinating Bridal Panel Discussion with
wonderful host Shereen Mitwali, discussing all things wedding with guests Priti
Malik of Virgin Radio and Bloomingdales head buyer Clair Seffeen.
The final day of the show saw N&M Boutique take
to the catwalk, followed by SH Collection and Stephanie Jayne. The hugely popular Daniel Bauer once again
shared his makeup expertise and to finish a fantastic wedding planner’s panel
discussion by Shereen Mitwali, Myfarah.com and Carousel Weddings.
Representatives from the tourism board of Vienna,
Philippines, Malaysia, Munich, Thailand, Ireland, Oman, Korea, Hamburg,
Indonesia, Hong Kong and Seychelles were on hand to offer advice on each
country. No matter what the couple were looking for, they were spoilt for
choice.
