Fann- A- Porter Hosts Emirati Artists Fatma Lootah

Buzzingtales has been invited to Fann-À-Porter Art Gallery to enjoy the exhibits of Emirati Artist, Fatma Lootah, who will be showcasing her exhibition “women scented in oud” from December 1 – December 13, 2014.

 The gallery continues to host renowned international and local artists with its full yearly calendar through 2014/15 in the prestigious Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates.

About the Artist:
Currently living in Italy, Fatma Lootah was born in Dubai in 1954, her Emirati heritage and culture is deeply ingrained and reflected throughout her artwork. Fatima’s art is a combination of portraits and abstract paintings, focusing on colors associated with light, the desert and heat, with her portraits having a feel of age and tradition. Fatima is thrilled to be showcasing her work during the UAE National Day holiday, Fatima comments “"The National Day has its own special place in my heart and I express my love to this land in my own way…”Fatima attended the Art Academy of Baghdad and then joined the Art Department at the American University in the US in 1979. Moving to Verona, Italy, in 1984, Fatima further developed her talent and focused on herself, raising her three daughters in their new home.

About Fann-A-Porter

“Fann-À-Porter”, which translates as “art-to-go”, launched its gallery space in Dubai earlier this year with the goal of bringing a host of international talent to display their collections on a monthly basis with a full year calendar in 2014/15. The gallery will be featuring international and local artists from the UAE, Jordan, France, Holland, Finland, Lebanon, Spain and Italy. The gallery also displays the work of talented designers alongside the gallery’s own collection of objects d’arts.
