Mana Al Suwaidi, Regional DirectorMiddle East & Sub-Continent, Dubai Tourism comments;
“Dubai is a vibrant hub of entertainment and is featured in the film, which is why Dubai Tourism is hosting the global premiere of Welcome Back.
As we have seen this week with the visit of the Prime Minister of India at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, this city is a place for Indian tourists and residents to enjoy unique experiences. As the Prime Minister noted, we are incredibly connected. Being only four hours away, there are over 1,700 flights a month between Dubai and Indian cities. In fact, no city in the world is more connected to India than Dubai, which is why we warmly welcome back our Indian guests time and again.”

Further commenting, Jamal Al Sharif, Chairman of Dubai Film and TV Commission and Managing Director of Dubai Studio City said;

 “Dubai plays an iconic role in Welcome Back, with scenes shot across the Emirate in a number of unique locations. We are very pleased that Dubai has also been chosen as the location for the premiere, which reinforces the Emirate’s position as a key part of the Bollywood production value chain.
We have seen a real increase in the number of Bollywood productions selecting Dubai as the location of choice for filming, screenings and premieres over the past few years, including blockbusters such as Happy New Year and Hamari Adhuri Kahani, and look forward to continued close ties with India to support productions and films of all sizes.”

Director Anees Bazmee said;

“Welcome Back portrays an aspirational lifestyle as the protagonists are multi-millionaires and billionaires, we thought getting so many locations matching the theme would be a nightmare but Dubai is an absolute dream city for any filmmaker.”

Producer Firoz Nadiadwala had this to say;

“The glitz and glamour of Dubai really is the ultimate backdrop for this movie and offered us a chance to film some truly incredible and awe-inspiring sequences that really could not have been accomplished anywhere else without considerably more effort.
We are genuinely thankful for the professionalism and hospitality extended to us throughout the entire project, and look forward to building our relationship with this incredible and bustling metropolitan city.”
Adding to this, Dubai based Associate Producer Arjun Kumar said:
“Welcome Back showcases Dubai in all its glory and we are extremely thankful to the Dubai Film & TV Commission for its continued support and assistance right throughout filming.”
