MARKET OTB From January 15th- A Key Part Of DSF

Buzzingtales was excited on being invited for the exclusive Press Preview of Market OTB. Market OTB (out-of the box) is an extremely enamoring and fresh approach to retail, entertainment as well as dining. The event unfolds at Southridge Park in Downtown Dubai. This sustainable platform to experience new retail concepts returns for its second edition from January 15-24 as a key part of the Dubai Shopping Festival’s 20^th anniversary.

 Market OTB presents a programme of live performances, industry talks, family entertainment for all ages and a multitude of dining options as well as an outdoor cinema including screenings from regional filmmakers, over 55 upcoming and hip retailers, arts and crafts activities from the JamJar, and a ramp custom-created by RAGE for the skater-enthusiasts.  The opening day ends on a high note with a smashing performance by GCC-based alternative/electronic multimedia artist and music producer Zahed Sultan.

Under the leadership of Ms Laila Suhail CEO of Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), an Agency of Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), and the first woman to lead this dynamic organization OTB has achieved great heights even as it unwraps its second edition. She took the responsibility of changing the overall strategy for the Establishment, steering the development of its public and private sector partnerships, and promoting the growth of Dubai’s retail, events and tourism sectors. This extraordinary, exemplary woman is also the head of DFRE, manages the internationally acclaimed Dubai Shopping Festival, Dubai Summer Surprises and “Eid in Dubai”, in addition to “Ramadan in Dubai” campaign, and Modhesh World, one of the region’s most popular family edutainment destinations.

Following the success of the 1^st Edition, OTB wants to replicate the same experience for the residents, families and tourist, only promising to make it a more memorable encounter. The second edition also showcases unconventional retail brands which are not ordinarily found at traditional retail destinations.

Apart from Zahed Sultans opening performance Lebanese singer, songwriter and visual artist Tania Saleh is also stated to showcase her act. The event also features an outdoor cinema screening of regional filmmakers, and a RAGE skate ramp of the riders community.

What is even more incredible is that the ENTRY IS FREE for the public.
